Problems saving reports as data files

Post by greed » Tue Feb 08, 2005 12:32 pm

I am having problems with reports when I save them as data files. I am not sure if this has been covered but I could not find it in the forum. Here is what I am doing.
When I do Employee by stock # it creates the report correctly and the correct data is there. I can then save as txt file or just print it and it is ok. But if I save as data file the # of pieces are off. The bottom line or total amount sold by employee is ok but the number of each product sold by employee is off. For some reason when you save as data file it puts in the total amount of product sold in the store not by employee. I have tried version 6.26 and it does the same thing.

Payouts

Greed,

I looked at the reports feature today and I did find a problem with data files if the sales contained "payouts". Did your sales contain payouts?

I have fixed the probem and it will be in version 6.27.

What do you mean by "payouts" Is that the same as a return? Cause if it does one of my people had a return. Also it has happen to me even without a return. I reset the data and then sold 2 items from two diff sales accociates and it still counted all the sales. It would say that each sold 4 items but the total dollar amount on each is correct. I may not understand the payout so the last part might not do you anygood.

I can send you a picture of what the receipts look like. If you want to see it.
