Given my situation I would agree 100% with Dale. The only real value is in being able to share and update gift certificate values from any site. I would not wish to comingle the other data. Having tried to do this with another POS software package, I would offer one caution. You must do it in a way ...

CPU load
Using DHPOS 6.39 on Windows XP home on several different machines. If I am not running DHPOS full screen (Alt + Enter) then the CPU is always running at 100% load (per the task manager.) The problem is when we need to do some other tasks that require some power (like a large spreadsheet in Excel) th...

Yes it is possible, but you have to have everything formatted just right. Actually you save the spreadsheet in Excel as a text file (CSV). It is in the online users manual under heading 37 - Stock Table. It is on the "Next Page" a ways down. It is much easier to download the Word Version of the user...

OK, as soon as I pushed the submit button for the last post, I had another thought. I completely reran the POSCONFIG program (from scratch), but then sucked my stock table into the program via the Restore / Backup capability in the Stock Table Move menu. I did have to rebuild the First Groups Menu, ...

Tried it on my computer at home, could not get it working there, either! (Although the problems were different than I experienced before) So I tried loading the data into a fresh copy of Release 6.39 (not the Beta) and it would not work there either. Basically got the same result, did the same thing...

It was me ... and it looks PERFECT
Now I'm feeling like a trouble maker after the Beta problems with the new Groups feature ... but that is EXACTLY what I am looking for.
Two Thumbs Way UP!
p.s. I remember reading in a posting somewhere in deep in the forum you can be bribed ... look for a package coming from Pennsylvania!

Group Settings
It was on [F6] - Use groups as an option. The .POS (and all the files used) we copied over from my currently in use register using version 6.39. I extracted the Beta, copied in all the files which matched the "first name" of my .POS file, (via the DOS copy command) and started running. That file had...
