Re: Symbol barcode scanner
Some friendly help about where to ask for assistance with DHPOS software. Instead of posting here at the POS Vendor board, where it may get passed by, Its better to post your questions directly related to DHPOS software to the Dale Harris Educational Software board. Its not real clear by its given n...

Re: Symbol barcode scanner
I'll take a guess this is a DHPOS running as a networked system. If so, the problem may be one or more of these: 1. you didn't enter the inventory into the GLOBAL stock table (you did create a global folder, didn't you?). 2. you had other registers open when adding items to the stock table. 3. you d...

Re: Process multiple DHPOS Auto Reports (saved as data CSV)
This is a wrapper batch file that will allow you to process a series of Auto Reports using the ADDTXT.BAT (see previous post). In short, the ADDTXT.BAT will read a CSV file and create a copy that adds a date to each line (other text too) and saves to a new file. The CSV file now can be used in a dat...

Re: Parked sales Bug when using option 3
I did some more testing with a couple of fresh installs of POS. I did this with a version 7.1g and a 7.1j. The issue with the PARK option 3 is consistent and repeatable with the two fresh installs of POS. And you don't need 60+ items to see it work. I tested with a sale of 14 line items as the Large...

Re: Parked sales Issue
I tried testing on my POS. And I also found buggy conditions parking with option number THREE when there were more than 60 lines in a sale. However I couldn't reproduce the exact example that ToPs had. I also had a problem with the config of allowing 60+ line items. So I came across 2 issues so far....

Mouse inventor & computing pioneer Douglas Engelbart dies@88
Douglas Engelbart, the thought leader and engineer who created, among many other things, the concept of the computer mouse, has passed away Tuesday at the age of 88. His legendary "Mother of All Demos" in 1968 anticipated the next several decades of computing and inspired all manner of other product...

Re: Import into Grade Book
OK, i have way too much free time. :( I've made major improvements to the code. Took a bunch of mess out and added a new feature. Now, along with all the csv file formats listed previously, I've modified it so you can also have your names listed in up to three columns of data. ie "FirstName Lastname...

How to add a date (other txt) to each line in a saved report
Ever wish each line in a DHPOS report also included the date? DHPOS reports are great. Auto reports are even better! You can output them as text or as a CSV data file. But what if you want to import the daily reports or Register Close report into a spreadsheet or database. Each report has the date n...

Re: Its the Apocalypse! Dale must join facebook.
Well, with your assistance of the fact your account had nothing. Finding you was pretty easy. I did a look-up for "Dale Harris". A short list of "Dale"s came up and I figured you must be the one with the"shadow face". I clicked it and then clicked Message and you know the rest! I don't know if you c...
