Search Query

From the purchase screen, POS 6.07 allows description searching in upper case only. Why is this so when the stock table allows lower case text? Stock items entered in lower case cannot be found using description search.

I've never been able to enter stock table items in lower case. Perhaps yours were imported, or you have phrased your question backwards?

Yes, several thousand stock items were imported with lower case text descriptions. Too many to change to upper case. I notice that description searching in file maintenance (stock table) can be achieved using lower case.

Can description search be made non case sensitive?

You will have to wait for Dale to reply, as he is the programmer.

I have changed the program so that searches of the description (and as long as I was there) the vendor stock number are now independent of the case. Also when you ring up an item by using the vendor stock number it will also be independant of the case.
It can be downloaded here as version 6.08

Dale,
Thanks for making a great program a little greater.
