DHPOS "Exact" Idea!

Post by ibmsystems » Tue Jan 17, 2006 7:49 pm

When i was ringing up sales in my store today and i got exact change or "tender" so i thought "wouldnt it be great to have a key that does an exact function?" so i thought up the idea of having F7 or simmalar do exact meaning you Example:

You ring up the customers items
You Press Enter To Get The Total
Total : 32.68
The customer hands you 32.68
You Press F7
The Drawer pop you close the drawer hand the customer the recept and finsh the sale

If this was to go into dhpos it should be placed in the screen after you select Pay By.... 1.Cash

Just an idea
Hopefully it gets put in!

Mystery feature.

ibmsystems,

Here is a mystery feature for you. The next time someone hands you exact change for a transaction, when the program asks you for the "cash tendered" just press [ENTER].

Let me know how that works out.

I know you probably couldn't do this, but since most people pay in cash, have a F key set to pay total by cash and print receipt

ibmsystems,

You do know that the exact change thing only works on cash tender not checks or credit/debit?

ibmsystems,

When posting a screen shot how about loading it into "Paint", cropping the image to just the part showing the program, and then saving the file to upload here? Jon has a lot of storage space for the forum but it is not unlimited.

A much easier method is to simply press ALT and Print Screen at the same time, which will capture only the active window.
